ARRIVED IN LA
After a 14 hour long haul aboard QF093, flying direct from Melbourne to LA, we were spat out on American turf, greeted by a crisp smoggy 13 oC. Justin and Amity, our hip LA friends welcomed us warmly before delivering us to their apartment in West Hollywood, located between Beverly Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. Talk about being in the middle of Tinsel Town!

THE SEARCH FOR A VAN
In search of a van to carry us into Central America, we found ourselves on the freeways of LA, negotiating a concrete jungle of roads to get to the outter suburbs where it seemed that all good cars were to be found. 
NEW VAN
Our new Van: 1996 Dodge RAM 2500 featuring 6 cylinder gas guzzling power, 4 captains seats (more appropriately called recliners, including one for the driver!), ice cold air conditioning, overhead strip porn-style lighting, a couch bed and a disco ball (still to come). Mr T would be proud.

Nice Van - Obviously Sabina would have insisted on your spending the dosh....! Oops must not say things like that hah!! What a lovely way to travel.
